Digital era means a range of things. Digital delivery as above is just the start. Things I'd love to be able to do, and am tinkering with, include:
- click on a MATLAB example in the ebook and have it run in MATLAB (you can embed code in PDFs...)- as above but this happens *within* the book, change parameters in the examples and the graphs change (eg. Wolfram CDF)
- read/run it on a tablet. iBook is pretty but limiting. Android has a lot of possibility which is why I've pushing the Octave port of the toolbox, since I think Octave will run on Android soon. Imagine being able to take a picture of a scene with the camera and have all the figures change. Or to control an iCreate robot via Bluetooth and see a room map appear in the figure.
